This applet models the phase properties of a binary mixture of volatile, miscible liquids. The solution is considered ideal, so it therefore obeys Raoult's Law.
Click on the left y-axis to change the partial pressure of pure liquid B (the higher you click on the axis, the higher the partial pressure will be set, and the lower you click, the lower the partial pressure). Click on the right y-axis (where the mole fraction of A is equal to one) to modify the partial pressure of pure liquid A. The range of allowed partial pressures is 0 to 200 Torr.
The blue line is the liquidus line, the line above which there exists one phase - liquid. The red line is the vapor line, below which exists only one phase - vapor. Between the two lines there are two phases, liquid and vapor.
